About this role

The Media Management Supervisor’s primary role is as the day-to-day client contact for all aspects of their business. This client is within the Home Services industry which brings with it a heightened performance media landscape where optimizations and budgets shift frequently in a given week based on business demand and need.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding, knowledge and application of Search and LSAs with multiple years of experience working with the Google & Bing platforms. The Supervisor will be the main contact for deliverables like leading client status calls where media and business performance is reviewed, discussed and recommendations provided for business improvements on a weekly basis.

The Supervisor will also have strong project management in media planning and media buying. This person should have a passion for reviewing and analyzing media data and how it impacts business goals for the client. and a strong foundation of business and media acumen with experience in digital media channels like Programmatic, Search and Social. 

As a people Supervisor, the Supervisor should have experience managing at least one direct report with an understanding for training, mentoring and managing a team member. The Supervisor will also be responsible for leading the internal team on all client projects alongside their Media Investment counterpart who is the media buyer on the business. The Supervisor should be highly detail oriented and a problem solver with the ability to zoom out to think business impact for the client as well as dig deeper into the more tactical aspects of media. They should be strong at multitasking and thrive in a fast-paced environment where proactivity is necessary. 

The Supervisor will work within a team setting with the need to manage a direct report and support the team leaders on client initiatives. The Supervisor will collaborate across multiple agency disciplines to move client initiatives and business forward. A successful Supervisor will have a passion for media, both digital and traditional, and a focus on business and media acumen, achieving specific and defined goals and expectations training and certifications at 90-days, 6-months and 12-months. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of Search and LSAs, with a deep understanding of the Google and Bing platforms
  • Knowledge and understanding of Client’s business – their products or services, business and fiscal goals, industry trends, competitive landscape, challenges 
  • Thought leadership both internally and externally, bringing new ideas to the table for our clients
  • Deep understanding of existing Scope of Work contract for client, calling attention to team leads when scope creep occurs
  • Tracking of all added value deliverables for client to support in SOW development
  • Constant client contact and communication to keep all projects and initiatives moving forward
  • Constant internal contact and communication to keep all departments and team members on task at the highest quality of work
  • Lead all internal status calls, ensuring all content is up to date on progress and that all team members are prepared for the content they will share on client status
  • Key support on client status calls, owning specific updates to project that they are managing/leading for the client and adding commentary as warranted to show expertise on business, in media and relationship building
  • Prepare all materials and information with thought leadership for all internal strategy, campaign, dashboard and QBR kick-off meetings
  • Development, management and QA of all billing for the client with senior guidance from manager
  • Tracking and QA of campaign pacing budget tracker for all client media campaigns, alerting Media Investment and Media Management leaders of discrepancies early and often
  • Manage a direct report at the Associate or Specialist level – ongoing training, conducting regular check-ins on work and prioritization as well monthly professional development sessions and annual reviews, and QA of all work and all projects completed by direct report
  • Enhanced understanding of all data with the custom dashboards including media performance and business impact. This includes a daily review of the dashboard to understand and alert any media performance or business situations 
  • Development of analysis and insights for media performance in preparation for client reporting calls and client reporting recaps via email
  • Development of content for media plan presentations including measuring success, discovery, media strategy, media channel alignment, audience targeting and media plan output
  • Collaboration with Media Intelligence and Media Investment on the strategic pillars to solve for the client’s business needs
  • Ownership of all CYRIS outputs for plan presentation including multiple planning scenarios and ensure alignment from all team members on the plan recommendation
  • Continual training and certification of defined media channels platforms in Social, Search and Programmatic to enhance media acumen
  • Collaborate internally on client assignments with multiple team members and departments.
  • Develop a rapport and working relationship with the day to day clients

Qualifications

  • Must be located in DFW area or willing to relocate
  • 3-5+ years of media experience in an agency or client environment
  • Strong media experience in Search & LSAs
  • Experience in managing at least one direct report
  • 1-2+ years of experience leading client communications
  • Fluent and experienced in business and media data analysis, understanding business goals and business impact
  • Passion for paid media in both digital and traditional media channels
  • Strong media acumen and with fluent knowledge of Programmatic, Search and Social platforms
  • An eagerness to train, mentor and manage a direct report
  • Strong attention to details and highly organized
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset
  • Experienced at prioritizing deliverables for a direct report and strong at delegation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – especially Excel (Excel is your best friend — or soon, will be) and Google Docs
